Race Records:
Female - Ally Colvin - 6:50 (2009) /  Male - Maclean O'Donnell (2012) - 4:49.85  The East Tennessee Chocolate Milk Mile, in only its third year, has produced numerous performances that currently populate the World Rankings List.
Will you be the next to crack the top 20?

Race History:

The 2011 East Tennessee Chocolate Milk Mile was the third annual chance for Knoxville to see some of the finest runners in the area compete in an event that should be in the Olympic Games. We have seen World Records and top-20 all-time athletes tour a 400-meter track 4 complete times while chugging 48 oz. of the finest milk that Mayfield and its homegrown cows can offer (what an utter waste).  Last year’s mens race was won by Race Director and 3-time top 2 finisher (2nd in 2009, 1st in 2010, 1st in 2011) Matt “Sonic” Sonnenfeldt in 5:07 (61 second final lap). He had a push all race from runner-up Isaiah “David Allan” Greer. The women’s race was won in convincing fashion by State Champion and 5:00 miler (sans milk of course) Rebecca “Ginger” Stover in 6:56. Awards (Gallon of chocolate milk) were handed out to the race champions as well as Best Outfit (Clinton “I still ran 4:10” McKelvey) and Best Puke award won proudly by Desmond “I Hate Milk” Pierce. Join us this year and get your name on the top-20 list and support a fine cause, the Markie Voyles Adopt-a-Kid Program which raised over $500 dollars last year from this race to help children participate in the sport of track and field who otherwise would not be able to afford it.

Meet Concept
The Knoxville Youth Athletics Pre-Nationals Meet is designed to give your athletes a low key, low cost FAT meet to tune up for AAU or USATF Youth Nationals at the end of July begining of August.  The meet will be "short and sweet" with a limited number of non-standard events designed to challenge your athletes while providing them "something different" with regards to thier normal race distances.  The end of the meet will feature some fun 4x100 relays to cap off your meet experience.   We hope you will embrace this short meet format which is a step outside the normal Youth Meet Box of Marathon days out on the track.

Meet Sanction
The Knoxville Youth Invite is a USATF Sanctioned meet.  AAU and USATF clubs are welcome and you are not required to have membership in either organization.  USATF Youth Rules apply.
